Gift Card: Lanterns

pencil sketch of antique kerosene lanterns on wooden work benchLanterns were used in the old days.

Although electricity makes them unnecessary in the barn, they were used there at one time. Before the power lines were put up in the rural areas, farmers who worked long days, got up early in the morning to milk the cows.

If they were up before the sun, these lanterns got them through the darkness and enabled them to do their jobs.
